First floor: Eight beautifully furnished double bedrooms, each with a fireplace and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower. Two twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms with bath and shower.
Cellars: The basement was formerly the wine cellars and mill.
Gardens & Pool
The Villa is situated in parkland extending to around 750 hectares, which also contains a number of other buildings including a small ancient church and small farmhouses that have been abandoned for years.
The villa has a private garden with splendid views. There are many trees and shrubs providing shady areas to sit and plenty of grassy areas to relax outside on a sunny day. An annex close to the pool has a changing room, fitness equipment, and a sauna.
The swimming pool (12m x 6m and 1.2m to 2m deep) is open May to September. It is located on an upper terrace of the garden and takes advantage of the splendid countryside views. Sun loungers and other good quality poolside furniture are provided. The pool has ladders for entry/exit.
The caretaker's cottage lies to the side and below the main villa ensuring that the villas occupants retain privacy at the villa but that there is someone nearby and on-hand should you need anything.
Villa Montedomini is located north-east of Florence in the Mugello area of Tuscany. A magnificent 16th century villa, Montedomini incorporates architectural details dating as far back as the 7th century and is situated in parklands of around 750 hectares. The house and grounds have been used over the centuries as a hunting reserve and military lookout. Today, this fully restored and beautifully decorated villa with private pool, creates a wonderful, private holiday environment.
The villa is ideally situated for taking advantage of a wide range of cultural opportunities of the region: Florence, the towns of the Chianti region, San Gimignano, Siena, and Arezzo are all within easy reach. For wine buffs, you can follow the Chianti Rufina trail with several producers having vineyards you can visit in the area.
The nearby town of Dicomano, founded by the Etruscans, has shops, bars and restaurants whilst, the larger town of Rufina has all services and a train station with a frequent service into Florence city centre. For fashion aficionados the designer outlets The Mall and the Barberino Designer Outlet Centre are an easy 40 and 60 minutes drive away respectively.
