Vignacci, a lovely cottage style house with private swimming pool, is situated down a quiet country lane near the village of Selci in Sabina, just an hour north east of Rome near the southern border of Umbria. The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. Here, you are within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany: Orvieto and Assisi are each only 70km away, while Rome and Viterbo (with all the Etruscan sites) are 50km.
Also within easy reach for daytrips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena. The train station, with a frequent service to Rome, is only 5km away and the local village, with shops, restaurants and a fine medieval centre is within walking distance at only 1.5km away. Several excellent restaurants are located nearby and golf courses, both 9 and 18 hole, are located within an hour's drive of the house.
Here you can enjoy relaxing holidays amid enchanting scenery. The house is secluded and private without being isolated and has a wonderful 'cottagy' feel. It is situated in its own grounds where you have a private furnished garden equipped with barbecue grill and pizza oven. The swimming pool is located in its own fenced-in private grounds immediately in front of Vignacci's entrance gates and boasts wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.
For sightseeing, Vignacci is in an ideal location for exploring widely. To the south, Rome, just an hour's drive. To the west, Viterbo, Vulci and Tuscania with interesting Etruscan tombs. Orvieto should not be missed with its underground necropolises and arguably the most beautiful gothic cathedral in Italy.

This is a great house for a small family or perhaps just a couple who are looking for some peace and quite in comfortable surroundings. Ground floor: Spacious living/dining room with kitchen area (well-equipped with oven and hob and fridge/freezer), open fireplace, dining table and chairs. Sitting room with satellite TV and double doors to outside leading to furnished terrace. Twin bedroom. Bathroom with half tub and shower. Open wooden stairs from the living room lead to a galleried double bedroom that overlooks the living room. From the gallery there is a door to a single bedroom.
Outside the house is approached down a gated driveway that is private to the house. There is an excellent built in BBQ and pizza oven, a wisteria covered loggia with table and chairs which provides an wonderful shady spot for indulging in a glass of wine or two and to the rear of the house a raised furnished terrace so plenty of choice for alfresco dining!

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €350, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
