Casale dell'Erica is one of those rare finds... a wonderful private villa with its own swimming pool situated in an enviable position overlooking the rich Sabine valley. This lovely little house would make a fantastic honeymoon house and is ideal for couples who are looking for a quiet country retreat whilst not being completely isolated.
The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. In this idyllic location you are within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany. Within about a half hours drive are the Sanctuary of Vescovio, the Abbey of Farfa, the Church of S. Andrea in Flumine and the Church of S.Elia (Nepi). The natural reserves of Tevere-Farfa, Monte Soratte, Monte Rufeno, Selva dell'Amone and the WWF Oasis of Pian S. Angelo and Alviano with Monti Reatini are within easy reach and offer bird-watching opportunities and hiking.
Other wonders for the interested and independent traveller include the Etruscan Necropolis around Viterbo, the Marmore Falls, the Monster park of Bomarzo, the cities of Viterbo (with its thermal baths), Tuscania and Civita di Bagnoreggio. The lakes of Bolsena, Vico, Martignano and Bracciano and the cities of Todi, Spoleto, Narni and Orvieto are about an hours drive. Also within easy reach for day trips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena.
A convenient commuter train from Rome to Poggio Mirteto or Stimigliano station takes 45 minutes and departs every hour.
The local village, with shops, restaurants and a fine medieval centre is within walking distance at only a couple of km's away. Several excellent restaurants are located nearby and for those interested in learning the art of Italian cooking, cookery classes can be arranged locally. The owners have a pony and 2 horses which may be available for those who wish to do some horse back riding. Several golf courses, both 9 and 18 hole, are located within an hour's drive of the house; the closest at Borgo paraelios 7 kms.

Independent cottage with private pool, panoramic terrace and mature garden: Large living room with open plan walkthrough to kitchen/dining room with open fireplace. The living room is very spacious and a small bed for a child can be added on request. The kitchen is well-equipped with oven, hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, marble work tops and marble 'belfast' sink, table and chairs. Double bedroom with built-in wardrobes. Bathroom with shower. Beamed ceilings and cotto floors throughout. Sat TV. Air conditioning. Use of washing machine.

Security Deposit
