5 Day Photography & Nature Breaks.........

Would you like the opportunity to improve your photographic skills in the company of a professional photographer, whilst exploring the stunningly picturesque scenery of the Sibillini Mountain National Park, in Italy’s Marche region? Or perhaps you would like to get something more out of your holiday here, including a Photography & Nature Break as a part of your week’s or fortnight’s stay, without having to change your accommodation...
These short Breaks are designed to introduce those with an interest in photography, of whatever level, to the beautiful landscapes of the National Park, while having on-hand advice available from a professional photographer. They will also enable you to learn about the fantastic nature of the area and what the Park has to offer. Excursions will take you to the famous high plains of Castelluccio, the breathtaking Mount Sibilla, shrouded in mystery and legend, and the Gola Infernaccio, or Hell’s Gorge, which leads through ancient beech woodland to a little church hidden high up in the mountains.

When? The timing of the breaks, in May, June, September and October, has been designed  to take advantage of seasonal opportunities, for example, the explosion of colour in Spring, the famous lentil crops at Castelluccio in Summer, the observation of migrant birds, the spectacular Autumn shades...

Tenuta Le Piane is a family run estate situated half way between the two regional capitals, Macerata and Ascoli Piceno, each only 40km away from Le Piane by lovely routes. Enjoying the seemingly endless panorama of the Sibilline Mountains, the estate is to be found in the heart of the national park, at the end of a country road on the edge of 400 acres of centuries old woodland. These are untouched, rich in fauna and flora, and rippling mountain streams. July and August are generally very hot, perfect for lying by the pool and visits to Marche's beautiful sandy beaches, there is plenty of entertainment in the form of medieval festivals and concerts. May, June and September are ideal if you prefer a little more exploration and activity without the heat, the beaches are less crowded, still festivals and markets going on.... End of December to about Easter, skiing in the mountains, in fact every month is special here!
The houses are comfortably furnished and ideally placed for exploring the wonders of this unspoiled region. In extensive grounds and with stupendous views the houses here have been converted imaginatively and with careful attention to the authenticity of the original structure, leaving beams and some of the stonework exposed. Every effort is made here to enable visitors to make the most of their stay. The garden grounds offer plenty of space so everyone can find a quiet corner and, with two swimming pools and plenty of garden furniture provided, guests can enjoy a relaxed holiday in a wonderfully pastoral setting. The Sibilline Mountains National Park is in one of the most beautiful and mysterious parts of the Apennines and which visitors may explore on foot, on the mountain bikes available for hire, or by car. Small huts have been equipped for picnics and barbecues and aerial hides have been made for serious bird watching. The Adriatic coast, with its many excellent sandy beaches, can be reached within about 40 minutes whilst, remaining inland, various little towns and picturesque villages make for interesting daily sight-seeing excursions. The two local villages of Amandola and Sarnano are lively and interesting with shops, pharmacies, post office, banks, garages, restaurants and bars, and both with good weekly markets. For those who enjoy shopping, there are many factory outlets for the big names in Italian design, for example Armani (in Matelica), Nazareno Gabrielli (in Tolentino), Tod's (in S. Elpidio a Mare) and Prada (Monte Granaro).

All apartments are accessed by private roads, and have covered parking, outdoor seating and individual central heating.
