Set in a wonderful Tuscan landscape, this 15th century villa was the summer palace of the Bishops of Fiesole until the present owner's family bought it in the 1890's. It stands 30km from Florence in its own woodlands in the peaceful region of Pomino, famous for its wine and olive oil. The vast terrace overlooks its own valley of vines and olive groves and the breathtaking panorama of hills all around. Yet Petrognano is not only a summer house, Tuscany is enchanting all year round. Since Petrognano is on the route to the Passa di Consuma it is also a pleasant place to stay for Chritmas or later, with the possibility of skiing. Excellent wine and olive oil are produced from the estate, which has the added advantage of its own small country Inn, Praticino, which offers good bed and breakfast facilities and seven double or twin bedrooms. All visitors to the estate are welcomed for lunch or dinner in the pleasant dining room or on the terrace. Here, after a stroll across fields, you can enjoy traditional local dishes or a drink while admiring the views. The swimming pool is very discreetly placed so that it shares in the lovely view without otherwise encroaching on it. A conveniently sited tennis court is also available to guests. The houses here are rustic and simply furnished, making Petrognano ideal for those who love the idea of a simple and authentic way of life in a beautiful country setting.

A large stone farmhouse standing on its own in an idyllic setting with stunning views. The stone-flagged terrace commands a sublime panorama. Ground floor: Sitting room. Large traditional kitchen/dining room with fireplace. Dining hall opening onto the terrace. First floor: Two double bedrooms. Twin/double bedroom, twin bedroom. Two single bedrooms. Two bathrooms with showers. This is a large, simply furnished house situated down a rather rough farm track, about 2km below the villa.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
