A lovely independent holiday villa with private pool situated in the countryside of Sabina, just an hour northeast of Rome.
This is an deal base for visiting Rome (40 minutes by car, 50 by train ) whilst enjoying a house situated in the calm of a quiet countryside, rich in the history and culture of unspoiled traditions. This convenient location allows for daily excursions to the most interesting artistic sights of Latium and Umbria (Spoleto, Orvieto, Assisi), and to the most famous archaeological sites of the Etruscan Area ( Viterbo, Tarquinia, Tuscania ). Florence and Siena are at about two hours drive. Nearby villages provide a good range of amenities, excellent restaurants, a fitness centre, a golf course (9 hole). Walking or biking tours can be arranged with a guide and, for those who have time to spare, the owners Franco and Marisa, can organise short stays in Porto S. Stefano (Tuscany coast) or boat trips in the gorgeous Tuscan archipelagos.
The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. Packed with touring options including several beautiful abbeys, the city of Viterbo and the many medieval villages dotted among the hills, in this idyllic location you are also within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany: Orvieto and Assisi are each only 70km away, while Rome and Viterbo (with all the Etruscan sites) are within 50km.
Also within easy reach for day trips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena. The train station, with a frequent service to Rome, is in Stimigliano only 4km away and the small town of Selci in Sabina, with shops and restaurants is 2km. There are also many excellent traditional, and untouristy, restaurants located in this area and a supermarket is within 5km.

The garden grounds, terrace an swimming pool provide evocative views towards mount Soratte, which Horace, the Latin poet who lived in Sabina, described in his poems.

Security Deposit

Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.30 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
