Situated in an incomparably charming landscape, deep in the greenery of Tuscany’s Maremma region, I’Roggeti offers the tranquillity of the countryside combined with the possibility to enjoy the art and beauty of the most important historical and natural centres of Tuscany. It is close to Monte Amiata, with its woods of chestnuts, firs and beeches, to the archaeological area of Roselle with ruins of an Etruscan and Roman village, to Montalcino and its vintage ‘Brunello’ red wine, and to the wonderful Tyrrhenian coast from Punta Ala to the Maremma Natural Park and the Monte Argentario.
The farmhouse, I Roggeti, belongs to a large farming estate, 1650 hectares, and in the past was the home of a family of sharecroppers who cultivated the land and bred cattle. The production of wheat, meat, milk, wine and cheese were both for family use and for the market. Nowadays, in addition to the usual crops, wild cattle and horses are bred. The farm is immersed in a breathtaking plain and in this splendid holiday environment, the entirely restore farmhouse has been converted into five apartments of various sizes whose names recall their original uses: “il mandriolo” used to be the sheep fold; “la tinaia” was where the wine barrels were kept for aging; “l'oleario” housed the great terracotta vases with the olive oil; in “la caciaia” the cheese was kept and aged; and “la colombaia” on the first floor was the family's home. Each vacation apartment is comfortably furnished and has central heating, dishwasher, satellite TV, private garden and parking space. A large swimming pool is situated in the grounds with ample pool- side and garden furniture provided. For the interested, a guided tour of the farm and its activities can be arranged.

The private patio with barbecue leads into a large living room where your winter evenings will be warmed by the fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom, two bathrooms with shower. Private garden.

The house is surrounded by a wonderfully quiet and welcoming environment, immersed in the green of the countryside. The gardens, swimming pool and barbecues will make your days and evenings in the open even more pleasant.

Arrivals expected between 15.00 - 19.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
