Situated in the magical landscape of the Valdisieve valley, the villa of Colognole and the surrounding farmhouses create an idyllic rural retreat. You can enjoy the peace and harmony of Colognole's surroundings with splendid views where the hills slope gently down to the river alternating olive groves, vineyards, fields of wheat and sunflowers, secular oaks and rows of cypresses. Alternatively take advantage of the wide range of cultural opportunities, with Florence, the Chianti region, San Gimignano, Siena, and Arezzo all being within easy reach by train or car. Located within the Docg Chianti Rufina area, the estate has been in the Spalletti family since the 19th Century. It produces wine and olive oil in an area renown for both. Some of the farmhouses situated within the property have now been renovated for farm holiday activities due to the high demand of people wishing to enjoy the wonders of the Tuscan countryside. All the houses preserve their rural but elegant style, central heating is available throughout the premises, making it also suitable for holidays during the colder months. The proximity of the property to the Apennine mountain chain not only renders the landscape stronger and wilder, but makes the summer heat more bearable due to the light breezes which come down from the mountains. All the houses have access to a swimming pool and enjoy splendid views of valley, rivers, vineyards, olive groves and sunflowers. The natural and artistic beauty of the Valdisieve valley makes it possible for guests to enjoy different excursions according to their interests.

A typical turn of the century stone farmhouse covering two floors and furnished in a simple country style. Ground floor: Large dining room with brickwork flooring and beamed ceiling. Living room with large country-style kitchen and wonderful stone fireplace. First floor: Four double/twin bedrooms. Bathroom with bath. Bathroom with shower. Garden with barbecue corner. The swimming pool (8m x 14m) is located at 250m from Il Mago and is shared with La Fattoria.

Security Deposit

Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.30 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
