ll Cicalino lies at the feet of the ancient town of Massa Marittima, embedded in the unspoilt region of Maremma, a natural paradise that has successfully maintained all its beauty and uniqueness throughout the passing of time. It is the ideal place to set off from on day trips to the most fascinating sights and tourist attractions of the region: Volterra, San Gimignano, San Galgano, Vetulonia and Populonia with its Etruscan excavations, Uccellina Natural Park and the seaside; well known for the beaches at Punta Ala and Castiglioni della Pescaia.
The Maremma is a fascinating coastal plain where art and nature create a perfect union. The small town of Massa Marittima is possibly the area's most historically interesting town, wonderfully atmospheric with its alleyways, shops, traditional taverns, and its fine medieval centre. The Etruscan towns of Vetulonia and Populonia are equally fascinating and full of traditional trattorie and speciality shops.
The Cicalino estate, with its wonderful views over vineyards, olive groves and oak woods, is vast. The old country houses, built in a circle around a 19th century manor house have been carefully restored. The accommodations, all beautifully modernised, retain the typical features of the holding including; stone facades, terracotta floors and exposed beams.
In addition the estate offers four swimming pools, a well equipped fitness centre (with gym, sauna, whirlpool, massage service), trekking paths inside the estate, organization of guided excursions to all the places of most important interest and for mountain bike fans there is the MTB-rent and repairing, guided tours and hundreds of courses, offering to visitors the possibility to discover the beauty of this territory with its wild appearance and unique landscapes.
To complete this splendid frame of the 'Tenuta Il Cicalino' estate, there is a restaurant situated near to the 'Podernuovo', in an idyllic setting between corn fields and olive groves and from where it is possible to admire the enchanting view of the medieval town of Massa Marittima. Inside the restaurant are two halls furnished in traditional style and from where you can enjoy the best local dishes many made with produce from the Cicalino farm estates.
Accommodation
A big country house situated in a panoramic position, consisting of three apartments and a large room in community. There is a big garden with garden furniture and barbeque facilities.The house is next to one of the swimming pools and 200m from the restaurant and the fitness-centre. This apartment is subdivided over two floors and consists of two double bedrooms and two single bedrooms, a living room/kitchen with TV, two bathrooms with shower.

Large, well-maintained grounds, a pleasure to sit and relax in, enjoy an evening BBQ’ing and sampling the lovely wines.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
