Villa Sveva is a very spacious Italian villa that enjoys a fine position overlooking vineyards and the surrounding Sabine countryside. The house is one of four rental properties belonging to the Santa Cristina Estate, it is semi detatched with Villa Sveva whilst the independent Villa's, Mary and Laurentia, are situated 500m away. For groups of up to 16 people combining Domitilla and Sveva is a popular choice; the garden gate can be opened up to allow free access between the two properties and the pool is then for the exclusive use of both. Independently the house is ideal for 8 people, it has generous garden grounds and there is a fence between the two properties to ensure privacy is maintained. The pool is shared between Domitilla and Sveva only and is situated 30mtrs to the south, immersed in its own garden with excellent views over the estate.
The location of the house in the unspoilt Sabina countryside just an hour North of Rome makes it perfect for exploring the many places of interest in Lazio as well as Umbria and Tuscany. Rome is an enjoyable day trip with its enormous historical and cultural heritage of revealing archeological sites, splendid renaissance and baroque palaces and of course the Vatican City, sovereign seat of the pope and home to the largest collection of art and antiquities in the world.
The world of the Etruscans is also nearby to the west Viterbo, Vulci, Cerveteri and Tuscania with is interesting Etruscan tombs. One may also embark on a pilgrimage tracing the footsteps of St. Francis of Assisi which starts at Rieti and winds its way north through some delightful countryside visiting the many holy sites connected with the patron saint of Italy. Inevitably, Assisi is well worth a visit with its mysterious churches, other-wordly atmosphere and naturally the majestic frescoes by Giotto in the Basilica of Saint Francis. Umbria is also the home of music from the famous “Festival of the Two Worlds” at glorious Spoleto to the more up-beat jazz festival in the Umbrian regional capital, Perugia. Other sites of interest in Umbria include the Cascate delle Marmore at Terni - the highest waterfall in Europe at 100mtrs. Orvieto should not be missed with its underground necropoli and arguably the most beautiful gothic cathedral in Italy. Tuscany is closer than one would think with its panorama which, in some places, hasn’t changed in 1000 years. Renaissance glory can be found at Arezzo and Cortona, Siena and Florence.
Accommodation
Villa Sveva has a large private garden with a pergola and is virtually identical in style and facilities to its neighbour, Villa Domitilla. From the garden grounds the properties are divided by a wall in order that individual privacy is maintained. Each has its own large private garden, well stocked with plants and olive trees, excellent views over the valley and each with large pergola covered patio and barbecue. The patio and the internal floor area is paved in Tuscan terracotta. Perfect for alfresco dining is the furnished patio which is situated to the rear of the house; here it is a pleasure to sit with a glass of wine admiring the views. There is also a private garage with room for 3 car's hidden out of sight underneath the house.
Inside the house is very spacious, and with full central heating it's a perfect choice for holidays at any time of year. Ground floor: huge living room with satellite TV, dining area, fireplace, large south-facing sun windows/french doors that lead directly onto the patio and garden. Fully-fitted kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, oven and hob, fridge/freezer. Breakfast area. Twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower (wheelchair access). First floor: Double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. Two twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms (1 has a shower, the other a bath with shower).
When renting both Domitilla and Sveva together you will recieve a 10% discount on the total rental price.

Pool details
The pool area is shared between each villa and is situated 30mtrs to the south, immersed in its own garden with excellent views over the estate. The surround is paved in terracotta where the umbrellas, deckchairs, loungers and armchairs are situated. There are 2 dressing rooms each with showers, WC and wash hand basin. The pool is 14 x 7 mtrs with a depth of 1.2m - 1.4m.

When renting both Domitilla & Sveva together there will be a 10% discount.
A 'Welcome pack' is provided for all guests on arrival. This includes a bottle of our own estate wine and extra virgin olive oil, milk, water, bread, butter, eggs, biscuits, salt, sugar, tea, coffee, jam.
Maps, guide books and local travel routes are privided in each villa for your consultation. There is also a 'Guest book' with additional information.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €250, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.30 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
