Fattorie Giannozzi, situated in the heart of Tuscany's famous Chianti region, makes an ideal base from which to visit Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, and the castles in the area. Each house has been restored to provide traditionally rustic and comfortable holiday accommodation. The garden grounds are spacious, with good views and plenty of garden furniture. The swimming pool is situated next to the olive groves overlooking the vineyards. The local village, where you will find shops, bank, restaurants and tennis courts is about 2km away. Horse riding (including the equestrian centre Il Paretaio) within 8km, and an 18 hole golf course within 25km.

From this idyllic rural base Tuscany's historic cities and towns are easily within reach including; Pisa, San Gimignano, Volterra and Lucca. Florence and Siena are both within 30 minutes drive but if you like things a little quieter, the surrounding hills are crammed with picturesque and untouristy hill-towns and castles such as Staggia and Castello di Strozzavolpe or you can take in the atmosphere of the fairs and festivals taking place in the medieval hamlets. The Chianti towns of Greve, with its trendy arcaded centre, and Castellina are within easy reach. Siena rivals Florence in musical, artistic and historic interest, while outdoing it with the Palio in July and again in August. Colle di Val d’Elsa, birthplace of Arnolfo di Cambrio who built the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence, is worth a visit, it has a fine medieval centre and is also noted for some of Italy’s finest crystal. For traditional Tuscan cuisine, several restaurants, including two ‘top class’ establishments, are within ten minutes drive.

Accommodation

Cosy farmhouse accommodation set over three floors. Ground floor: Kitchen/dining room with open fireplace, oven and hob, fridge/freezer. From this room there is an unrailed staircase up to the first floor. First floor: Single bedroom. Bathroom with shower. Steps up into a living room with double sofa-bed. Second floor: Twin/double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. Central heating. 'Casa Stefani' has a connecting door with 'Casa del Moro', and when rented together can provide accommodation for 11/14 people.

Grounds

Extensive, and with plenty of furniture to relax after a hard days sight-seeing.

Security Deposit

On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.

Arrival Times

Arrivals expected between 15.00 - 18.30 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
