The classic 16th century Tuscan farm house of Casale Mugnani has one of the most beatiful settings amongst the olive groves on the hills of Lucca. With fantastic panoramic views the south-facing and extremely sunny Casale Mugnani is just as idyllic for out of season breaks as it is for summer holidays. Nature lovers can go for long walks through woods, vineyards and olive groves. Nearby are old churches, historic villas and farms where you can sample local produce and, perhaps, follow the “Strada del Vino”, a route tracking the wine production of the area.
Trips into the Garfagnana and the mountain areas of the Apuana Alps and the Apennines can be made by heading north from the main 'Lucca' road. In this direction you will find the charming little spa town of Bagni di Lucca nestling in the valley of the river Lima at the foot of the Apennines. The impressive medieval walled city of Barga with its cobbled lanes and impressive duomo, the Grotte del Vento (wind caves), stunning scenery and hairpin bends.
Heading south on the main road you come to Lucca, a finely preserved medieval city with tight streets and lanes, old houses, towers, palaces and churches all completely enclosed within the beautiful historical walls. Continue past Lucca and Pisa with its famous leaning tower, the Ligurian Coast, Viareggio, Carrara and the amazing Cinque Terre all within easy reach at under an hour's drive.
For those that enjoy sun and sand, the beaches at Versilia are about 30-40 minutes away by car and, for children's entertainment, Pinocchios Park is about 20 minutes away.
Back at the Casale Mugnani, the nearest village is Marlia (4Km) and here you can find shops and a supermarket. The nearest restaurant and a little grocery shop is within walking distance at less than 1km.

Spacious top floor apartment with access from an external stairway that leads into a hallway with door to the Lavanda apartment and a further set of stairs that lead up to the Salvia apartment. Salvia combines comfortably accommodation with spectacular views. Furnished living room with open fireplace. Large well-equipped dining kitchen (dishwasher, fridge/freezer, oven and hob). Two double bedrooms. Single bedroom. Bathroom with whirlpool (spa) bath. Bathroom with shower.
Grounds
A large garden surrounds the property and provides an idyllic setting for al fresco dining. The swimming pool, with plenty of pool side furniture provided, takes advantage of the breathtaking views. An antique stone water basin provides an interesting water feature and a barbecue and a play-area for children.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
