The Bossi estate has belonged to a distinguished Florentine family since 1592, and provides an interesting and welcome retreat at any time of year. Beyond the main villa, facing south with fine views, is a group of houses each interesting and characteristic of the region. You may, on request, be shown round the cellars of the fattoria where you can buy their excellent wine or olive oil if you choose. Complimentary bottles of wine are provided in each house on arrival. Bossi offers an ideal combination of town and country holiday. The estate is set in tranquil, beautiful rolling countryside perfect for walking, fishing or riding. A rather steep lane past the house leads up through woods to a succession of different panoramas and meadows, ideal for picnics! Florence is only half an hour's drive away, with the further advantage that good train and bus services run there from Sieci (4km) if you want to avoid the hassle of city parking. Nearby Pontassieve is lively and prosperous with good restaurants, shops and a flourishing Wednesday market for clothes, household goods and food. The Autostrada del Sole is within easy reach, giving ready access to the rest of Tuscany and Umbria. Information on local events and facilities is provided at the cantina which is located at the main villa.

This substantial farmhouse commands, from its garden, superb views of the surrounding countryside. Ground floor; Big entrance hall, with barbecue made from the original bread oven. Double bedroom. Shower-room. First floor: Large living room with a vast traditional Tuscan fireplace. Large kitchen/dining room. One double bedroom. Three twin bedrooms. Two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. Studio/sitting room. Tower reached by an open wooden staircase with roped 'handrail' in the studio: Twin bedroom with spectacular views. Poggio Martini, with its original features, is full of character and with central heating is an ideal property for larger families or groups at any time of the year.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €160, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 18.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
