The Villa Vallerosa is an extraordinarily lovely villa built in the 19th Century by a Venetian architect for his lover; the noble man unfortunately ended being obliged to sell the property to pay for his horses and women debts - another story...
This beautiful country residence is located in northern Lazio, an hour north of Rome near the southern border of Umbria. The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. Here, you are within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany: Orvieto and Assisi are each only 70km away, while Rome and Viterbo (with all the Etruscan sites) are 50km. Also within easy reach for daytrips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena.
The train station, with a frequent service to Rome, is only 5km away and the local village, with shops, restaurants and a fine medieval centre is within walking distance at only 1.5km away. Several excellent restaurants are located nearby. Several golf courses, both 9 and 18 hole, are located within an hour's drive of the Villa.
The owners are fun-loving, friendly and speak excellent English. The charming old hay barn has been restored in the garden of the villa and it is now available for the guests to use as they would like. An large terracotta stove heats up the sitting side of it with the piano ready for small concerts and musical entertainments. Plenty of tourist information along with books and maps are available too. The barn is available also for small parties or meetings up to 20 people, with its long table and the possibility to plug in all the necessary Audio Visual equipment you may need. Large beautiful windows close the old arches of the barn while allowing the sun light in and overlooking the garden and its secular trees.

Accommodation
Thinking about single people wanting to have their special private place, this is a cosy little cottage with small, small rooms and private garden that has been converted from the piggery! One single bedroom (can become twin exceptionally), one mini dining/sitting room, one kitchen and a bathroom with shower. Tall people will have to mind their head when passing through some of the doors! But…what an experience!

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.30 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
