Villa Vallerosa is a splendid residence situated on a hillside overlooking the rich Sabine valley. This beautiful country residence is located in northern Lazio, an hour north of Rome near the southern border of Umbria. The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. Here, you are within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany: Orvieto and Assisi are each only 70km away, while Rome and Viterbo (with all the Etruscan sites) are 50km. Also within easy reach for daytrips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena. The train station, with a frequent service to Rome, is only 5km away and the local village, with shops, restaurants and a fine medieval centre is within walking distance at only 1.5km away. Several excellent restaurants are located nearby and for those interested in learning the art of Italian cooking, cookery classes can be arranged on the estate. Several golf courses, both 9 and 18 hole, are located within an hour's drive of the Villa. The recently renovated ancient casale (cottage) has four apartments, its own driveway and a huge Club Room with fireplace, guide books and bathroom which the guests are welcome to use to supplement their own private apartments. The owners live 100 yards away in a separate villa (with another three apartments) on the estate where they raise thoroughbred horses, produce oil and wine and grow vegetables and fruit. The owners are fun-loving, friendly and speak excellent English.

At the first floor, with large living room and a single sofa-bed, small but pretty kitchen, well equipped, overlooking the beautiful garden through a large arch window. Bathroom with shower, one double room. Charming covered terrace.

Well-kept large grounds with various animal enclosures which the children are welcome to wander round.
