Borgo di Vagli is a beautifully restored self contained Tuscan village dating back to the 14th Century, idyllically set in unspoilt natural beauty among olive groves, ancient oaks, chestnut and fruit trees, wildflowers and vines.
The villages boasts breathtaking endless panoramic views of rich Tuscan countryside. Having been left in ruins for over 20 years, the result of a ten year project has been to completely and authentically restore the village to the highest standards in accordance with Tuscany’s legal restoration requirements. It maintains as faithfully as possible its medieval feel, atmosphere and look, without compromising modern day comforts and needs.
Borgo di Vagli is part of a large Protected area nestled among its own olive groves, fruit trees and ancient oaks, with many terraces of roughly 8,000 square meters offering privacy to read, relax or sunbathe. The panoramic views are some of the most breathtaking in Tuscany including that of Pierle Castle which dates back to the 10th century.
Entirely private and offering a level of authentic country luxury rarely seen in rural Tuscany, the village consists of 21 unique properties and includes; multi-lingual reception, two swimming pools, satellite television, Restaurant and shop. The villages trattoria is housed at the base of the 14th century guard tower, it offers traditional Tuscan meals and well stocked cellar. Borgo di Vagli is the latest renovation conceived and executed by the renowned Restoration engineer Fulvio Di Rosa, often cited by Frances Mayes, America’s best selling author of Under the Tuscan Sun, Bella Tuscany and most recently In Tuscany, as being among the best in his field.
A car is a necessity to explore and thoroughly enjoy Italy’s most beautiful regions. Cities, sites and places of interest within driving distance from the village include Lake Trasimeno which offers boat trips to Isola Maggiore, boating, canoeing, fishing, wind-surfing, water skiing. Twenty minutes away is the popular medieval town of Cortona, and also within easy driving distance are Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Siena and San Gimignano.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €200, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 20.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
