With its panoramic views over vineyards, olive groves, lush woodland and the gentle rolling hills, Torre dell’Orsa stands out austere and proud against the blue Umbrian skies in the municipality of Gualdo Cattaneo, in the province of Perugia.
The watchtower of the Orsa takes its name from the family crest. Recent restoration works have resulted in a harmonic blend of modern day fabrics and furnishings complementing the sober elegance of Torre dell’Orsa’s medieval origins.
There are many possibilities in the area for those who enjoy sporting activities: from horse riding through the trekking paths, clay pigeon shooting, right through to the possibility of taking part in courses to achieve flying licences with ultralight airplanes and the numerous opportunities available in the nearby sports centres.
For those who enjoy a more cultural approach, the towns and cities of Umbria provide plenty of opportunities for active sightseeing. Nearby Todi is a wonderful old medieval town with many attractive shops and restaurants, whilst Perugia, Assisi, Gubbio and Spoleto are all within an hour’s drive.
In the rooms that once lodged the Compania del Capelletto, a prestigious squad of mercenaries, eight splendid apartments have been gained. These have been elegantly furnished with a mixture of modern soft furnishings and rustic country style antiques. The apartments, all with central heating, telephone and TV, are spread throughout the building over three floors - don’t worry, there is a lift! Just next to the medieval walls, at the rear of the building, guests can enjoy a beautiful swimming pool built on one of the terraces in the garden to take full advantage of the stunning views.

Grounds
Garden grounds with tables, chairs and loungers for relaxing and enjoying the views. The pool is situated on a terrace below the garden and also takes advanbtage of the views. Torre dell Orsa is in a small village where you can sit and watch the world go by at the local “bar”.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.
Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
