Chignoni is located in the municipality of Apecchio, known for its famous hump-back Medieval bridge and Palazzo Ubaldini which houses a fine fossil museum. The surrounding area is known for its many sulphuric springs and offers various recreational possibilities including mountain biking, trekking, hunting, fishing and, in the winter months, skiing. The seaside at Fano is within a 40 minute drive whilst cities of historical and cultural interest; Urbino, Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia and Arezzo are all within easy reach. The White Truffle Fair takes place in Apecchio at the beginning of October, an important event which offers interesting week-ends to those who attend. In the truffle seasons, and for those who want to experience the thrill of finding the fragrant tubers, the owner of Chignoni is available to take guests truffle hunting, individually or in small groups, in the wooded areas surrounding the estate.

Accommodation

An exterior stairway leads up to a small furnished portico, with table and chairs for dining alfresco, and entrance into a large farmhouse-style kitchen with table and chairs, oven, hob and fridge. An archway from the kitchen leads into small sitting room. Double bedroom. Twin bedroom with french doors and views to the pool. Bathroom with shower.

Grounds

The impressive 18th century buildings include a large country cottage which, together with the owner’s residence, seem to recreate a small agricultural village typical of the Apennine area. The buildings are surrounded by a large garden with a barbecue and a lovely pool where guests can relax and take a refreshing swim in the summer months. Each apartment has its own sitting-out area.

Security Deposit

On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.

Arrival Times

Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 20.00 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
