The casale, built in the eighteenth century and located 2 kilometres from the village of Selci, has been recently restored to its natural beauty with loving care by the owners Elio & Ornella. After having travelled all around the world, they decided to start offering hospitality to other travellers in their beautiful casale. They will welcome you in the charming tavern on the ground floor of the house. The property overlooks Mount Soratte, sight of historical and naturalistic importance. The charm of this relatively unknown area, with its olive groves and vineyards and its proximity to the medieval and renaissance delights of Italy, makes it a wonderful place for a perfectly relaxing and cultural holiday. Here, you are within easy reach of the hill towns of Etruria, Umbria and southern Tuscany: Orvieto and Assisi are each only 70km away, while Rome and Viterbo (with all the Etruscan sites) are 50km. Also within easy reach for daytrips are Perugia, Arezzo and Siena. The train station, with a frequent service to Rome, is only 5km away and the local village, with shops, restaurants and a fine medieval centre is within 2km. Several excellent restaurants are located nearby and for those interested in learning the art of Italian cooking, cookery courses can be arranged. Several golf courses, both 9 and 18 hole, are located within an hour's drive of the house. Popular festivals and gastronomy in the main squares of several nearby villages are to be found from March to October and in July there is the 'Bread Fair', and in August the 'Roast Pig Fair'.
Accommodation
This property is normally let as room only on a B&B basis but the house has proved so popular rented with the taverna and kitchen to provide a self-catering solution that it can now be rented complete with private pool. The house develops over two floors with an external staircase leading up to two bedrooms both with private bathrooms with showers. On the ground floor and accessed from the garden is the taverna that includes an equipped kitchen (full oven and hob, fridge/freezer) and a dining/living room.
Each bedroom is comfortably and tastefully furnished and each has its own private bathroom with shower. An ingenious purpose built cabinet provides the facility of a mini kitchen in each bedroom so that guests staying on a bed and breakfast basis can make themselves a drink or a quick snack during the day.Bedroom 1
Double bedroom with mezzanine level bed over four poster double bed. The mezzanine is accessed by a wooden ladder and is perfect for a child (not recommended for the very young though!).
Bedroom 2
Large double bedroom with private roof terrace. This bedroom can accommodate an extra bed if required.

The gardens are well established, with good views and plenty of garden furniture provided for alfresco living.

Security Deposit
On arrival you will be asked for a security deposit of €150, payable in cash. The security deposit will be returned to you at the end of your rental.

Arrival Times
Arrivals expected between 16.00 - 19.30 hrs. If you are going to be late, you MUST advise us or the owner/keyholder in advance. Property to be vacated no later than 10.00am on day of departure.
